Julián Ruiz is an estate agent and an amateur film maker. He and his romantic wife Ana write a script for his professional debut in the cinema.

Mayte, the estate agency's sales secretary, is in love with Julián. Jorge Padilla, Mayte and Julian's boss and married to Josefina, is a consumer who buys things without even knowing what they're. He finds Mayte attractive.

The story becomes complicated with different situations and colourful characters. These include a punk girl who wants to know how the bourgeosie make love, a French aristocrat who discovers the excellence of Spanish seafood, a very young female neighbour who's into free love, and a famous actor who will end up in Julian's next film...
